Well, but that's the *point* of Gordon Freeman. He's just a puppet, in almost every sense of the word. He's like the marathon cyborg in almost every way, except that the Marathon cyborg has visible arms. Now if Ep3 ends with Freeman discovering that he is the embodiment of Destiny, that would be awesome.
