I guess you're talking about cutting away loading screens too...because cinematics don't have much to do with that stuff (Sometimes you can hide away the loading by showing a cutscene instead, but that's beyond the point, as I haven't seen a game do that ever). : Now that I think about it ... with our limits of technology, maybe we do need
Assuming what I said above is true, YES, GOD YES. That's kinda what Bioshock tried to do, and it was definitely interesting to see a story at least tried from that perspective. If that style is perfected, it holds a lot of promise. Just moving from one area to another, no breaks, just immersion. I think that's what makes the Civilization series really addicitive too. Constant immersion once you're in the game. It's what this generation is all about, so I'm sure we will see more of this soon, actually. *yawn* -Greatest Journey
