In Response To: Re: Hokey stories and ancient religions. (scarab) : Potential Flood infection of the galaxy is BAD. I most wholeheartedly agree. : Probably, and if your speculation about DH being able to coordinate Flood on
: For all we know it has been 'nuked' already. But we haven't been told this. : As long as a GM is alive then the Flood is non-Feral and considerably more
But is he? Provided there is not another mass on DH (which you disagree with, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), but hear me out), do they have the capability to create another? Presumably a substantial amount of the flood on 05 were sent to High Charity, though no doubt a lot remained. Since there isn't nearly as much biomass on 05 as there was on 04, the infection wouldn't proliferate as much or as quickly, and the sentinels could probably slow them a great deal, if not stop them entirely (more quarantine zones?). Also, half-jaw knows about flood. He was at 04, infinite succor, 05, high charity and now Earth and the Ark. I don't think he'd jsut say "well, let's go check on Sanghelli and all live happily ever after" if there was a large, threatening infection that needed to be dealt with. And if there are no more GMs (obviously speculation, since there are 5 rings unaccounted for and any number of research stations), the flood would be less coordinated. I also doubt there are pure forms on 05, as it's a large area that needs to be covered. To consolidate enough to make pure forms the flood would either need to retreat a LOT (not really their style) or have far more biomass available than they do. : If the powers that be haven't appreciated this then things don't look too
Again, I trust half-jaw to have a good handle on the situation. Arbiter: What is it?
