Flood Telepathy - Biological Robots? | |

In Response To: Re: The worst example is Floodgate (elpolloguapo) Why would it have to be that hokey concept of telepathy? Couldn't the Flood, being a hyper evolved, err...anti-lifeform, have developed some sort of analogue to the sort of signals that we use now to control things like UAVs and remote control cars? Lesser forms have some sort of antennae organ, and the Gravemind has a transmitter organ. The Gravemind is able to transmit and recieve signals from his combat forms, and with his massive biological computer that we call a brain he's able to process all of those signals and deal with them all simultaneously (and when he's not in control, they are autonomous to an extent). As for the long distance part of it, why couldn't he have a sort of transmitter that works through slipspace? The Covies have a superluminal comm network on High Charity, and we know the Forerunner had such things. Not a critical point, just a little lightbulb that went off a few minutes ago.
