In Response To: Re: The worst example is Floodgate (elpolloguapo) : Well, I don't know much about Mass Effect, but as for bioshock and Assassins : Creed, I don't think the reason they sold was because they were plot : driven. Assassins Creed's main selling point was the climbing and combat : systems, while bioshock's was also a new form of gameplay. I don't : remember any mention of plot in any of the hype about AC or bioshock. Um... wow. Go back and read a few of the 'Game of the Year Award' writeups for Bioshock. Plot plays a HUGE role in its critical acclaim.
