I appreciate the games and the : work put into them, but I think they tend to think of themselves too : highly. : It's almost like the backlash from Halo 2 forced them into a corner That's also pretty true. But the thing is, Bungie has to make money. I was disappointed by H3, but looking at it from a purely analytical perspective, what they did really makes the most fiscal sense. H2 was, in my opinion, a more intellectual game than either of the others, which is why it's my favorite, but most people, alas, do not play Halo for intellectual reasons. To make the game that much more marketable, they had to make it that much dumber. It's the problem with the typical american's mindset and typical american capitalism.
