I partially agree. Wincott's performance was excellent. However, in one sense the ultra-sneaky Truth makes the final showdown with him less interesting. It's a pure good-vs-evil conflict. The only question then is who wins-- and most of the time it's good. Having a Truth who, at least partially, believes what he is doing is right forms a more interesting conflict. There's something simultaneously tragic and satisfying about the Arbiter running him through. On a personal level it's revenge. On a practical level it's the elimination of a threat. But on a philosophical level, it's a conflict between two forces unwilling to compromise their goals and both convinced they are doing what is absolutely necessary. Truth believes that it is necessary and justified to do evil or evil-seeming things in service of the ultimate objective: the great journey. If there's a moral lesson here it's that perhaps no ultimate goal should be placed on so high a pedestal that it overrides all other prerogatives. Except maybe, individuality. After all, can't let the commies... I mean, Gravemind, win... :)
