In Response To: Re: Hokey stories and ancient religions. (Anton P. Nym (aka Steve)) : Because we saw him aboard the High Charity in Halo 2. "Now I shall : ask, and you shall answer." : -- Steve knows that this doesn't rule out there being another GM on
From the Beastarium: Insufficient data exist on whether mobile forms of one Gravemind would be influenced by another Gravemind, though logic dictates this would be the case. However, because individual Graveminds are remarkably similar and all are striving for the same goal, it is likely that a distinction would be impossible to detect. The GM on Delta Halo could assault HC and establish a new GM there without having to leave the safety of Delta Halo. <- a target the Covenant would be reluctant to attack. There was more than enough biomass on HC to build a new GM. Its the most sensible move for the Flood. We did not see a splitscreen showing two GMs being simultaneously in two different locations but we know that the Flood is a distributed intelligence and we know that there have been multiple GMs in the past and we know that Bungie went out of their way to tell us that we couldn't tell one GM from another.
