In Response To: Re: The worst example is Floodgate (elpolloguapo) : Well, I don't know much about Mass Effect, but as for bioshock and Assassins : Creed, I don't think the reason they sold was because they were plot : driven. Assassins Creed's main selling point was the climbing and combat : systems, while bioshock's was also a new form of gameplay. I don't : remember any mention of plot in any of the hype about AC or bioshock. You must read different sites than me. The major point of Bioshock's promotion was supposed to be its detailed world and "real adult choices" in its story. Similarly I heard lots about AC's story prior to release and nothing about jumping or climbing until post-release.
