At least it was consistent : with Covenant naming. : Better than Bungie's own name of "the Tuning Fork". That's an internal name. They had tons of those and you can see the evidence in their filenames still in each game. The one I found when looking through Halo 3 MP stuff was a helmet called Cobra in the filenames. It's for the CQB helmet and it had to be intended to be a reference to the standard Cobra Viper helmet of GI Joe fame: http://www.coverbrowser.com/image/action-figure-boxes/391-1.jpg Also, internally, the Mauler is the Prowler vehicle and the actual gun Mauler is called the Excavator. Confusing when trying to find assets. :P
