It's the inconsistency that's killin' me. Yeah, but I think you can actually blame 343i for that. The 'revised' FoR was their responsibility. They seem to be the ones completely unwilling to take the step of admitting anything has ever been ret-conned or changed and will spin any kind of story to try and reconcile everything. Look at your favourite piece of reading material, the Halo Encyclopaedia. They could have just said that Human ships had proper artificial gravity (or anti-gravity, whatever we call it) to make the likes of Halo Wars and Contact Harvest fit in right. But noooo, FoR said we had rotating sections, so instead we'll say we have the technology, but its too much of a drain on energy to see wide spread use. Even if that still doesn't mesh very well with Contact Harvest or Halo Wars. (And we definitely can't write Halo Wars out of canon. Halsey's Journal makes reference to Anders and there is the Spirit of Fire doodle, so that tale is definitely not going anywhere).
