In Response To: I think we hold the books in too high a regard. (Riceatron) The Fall of Reach is an excellent book, but the games have gotten better and better. New tech allowed new weapons, races, vehicles, etc. Bungie has always said the games come first, but as soon as the game comes out and contradicts a single event in the novel, the fans bitch and moan all over the internet, rather than listen to the word directly from the creators. The reprint of FoR missed the opportunity to have new chapters, new things written in, and a lot of errors fixed. The pages they added help, but I'd be willing to bet that the comic adaptation of the story fixes certain events to fully integrate the game's storyline.
