Nym (aka Steve)) : I'm with thebruce0 on this one; if all you've seen of Halo are the games, : you're fine as there's nothing in Reach that breaches game canon. (Even : including Halo Wars, IMO.) It's only when you try to reconcile the novels : and ancillary material that the ride gets bumpy. I'm actually with kapowaz on this one; I actually SAID they were consistent, but he pointed out that Cortana spends the first half of the first game 'pretending' (if Reach is to be considered canon) to know nothing of the Forerunners. Now maybe Jilly's okay with that - but I'm not. :)
