All of these events that happened could have : occurred with some simple changes. The SIIIs being SIIs, the PoA being up : in orbit and meeting it up there, a few time frame adjustments. : Many of us feel cheated. Unless you weren't particularly fond of the early novels to begin with.
I got into the 'hardcore' area of the fandom much later than most I imagine.
So I was quite familiar with both Halo and Halo 2 before reading the novels, rather than having read FoR back in 2001/2.
So I never fully trusted it, and this has left me rather more keen for events in it to be altered.
In a way, I suppose they did that, though not in the way I imagined.
Perhaps the bigger problem is the indecision when Bungie say they did take great care, or when Frankie says it will all make sense. The only thing I would wish is that we would have an out right statement:
