In Response To: I think we hold the books in too high a regard. (Riceatron) ... is that the Halo Story Bible is apparently just a few Post-it notes on the fridge in Bungie Studio's break room. Maybe there was a Story Bible, but someone lost it around 2006. The shoddy writing in Halo 3 and the inconsistencies and retcons found in ODST and Reach have been major disappointments in what is still one of the most well-developed sci-fi franchises around. It's almost like Bungie is trying to pull a George Lucas on us. >:(
