Nah, personally I've always simply chosen the things that I like as part of what I consider canon, and now this break in continuity seems to make this way of thinking a bit more acceptable. At least I think it's more acceptable. Fans are generally really over protective of this sort of stuff, but I generally don't mind the change so much.
