After 10 years, it's a complex fictional : universe. It's hard to speculate about new stuff when you keep seeing : inconsistencies and retcons popping up all the time. That worry ruins the : enjoyment of speculation. It also doesn't help that there appears to be absolutely no interest in speculation anymore around here. I bring up stuff about canon in regards to the design choice of the "Halo 4" logo, talking about how Mendicant Bias is probably hitching a ride in Cortana and how I bet he's totally going to be in this game and Cortana won't go rampant because of it and whatever, and really no one says a thing. Connections to Iris and the Terminals? Shrug. Thoughts on what it means for Halo 4? Shrug. It's definitely disappointing.
