In Response To: You people are confusing me. (Louis Wu) People seem to forget a couple things, such as: - In Origins Cortana stated it's been seven years since she was created, which means it's been at least seven years since Chief went into cryo. Yeah, I know there are people that don't like the Legends shorts being canon, but you have to take the info from it into consideration here. - The regular ending of Halo 3 where Chief went into cryo does not necessary happen right before the legendary ending: some time has likely passed between those two scenes and then some more time between the legendary scene and the trailer. - This is a teaser. Of course things are not going to mesh completely with canon, for the sake of artistic license and drama. I know I am likely the minority here, but the things people I see whining about the most about the trailer I just don't care about. - Chief's armor is different - I don't care - Cortana looks different/sounds different - don't care about this either - OMG a jetpack/thruster! - So? Now, what I do care about from the trailer: - The FuD is exploding/falling apart either due to being under attack by an unseen foe or the reactor is finally failing after so many years without maintanance. - The big ass, obviously Forerunner built planet that looks like it's about to go Unicron on the FuD I look at the big picture when it comes to a teaser: I could care less about the little details that are not likely going to be the same in the actual game.
