In Response To: Re: Interesting Frankie Quote (DHalo) : You forget that we have no context as to what has happened since we last saw : the Chief and this trailer. I don't find that productive. I am not complaining about the lack of explanations for things that might yet be explained. I am complaining about seemingly needless decisions that now require explanation, when the substance of this trailer could easily have been achieved without requiring any such explanations, present or future, potential or realized. : Also, Boren's and the Spartan I coverup was neat IMO, so the fact that the
Like everything else I post. Johnson saying "it's classified" was funny and revealed his character. Boren's Syndrome revealed nothing of substance, neither about Johnson's character, nor about the Halo universe. It was invented to plug a plothole-- and then retconned, essentially, out of existence, since its only known sufferer is now known to have been misdiagnosed. In essence, Boren's Syndrome no longer has a reason to exist within the Haloverse, since the purpose for which it was invented has been achieved by other means. What is "neat" about Boren's Syndrome in the current continuity? Johnson being a Spartan 1 is no less a retcon, as Bungie obviously never intended that when they introduced the character, but does provide an opportunity to reveal his character.
