In Response To: You people are confusing me. (Louis Wu) : How come everyone else is betting on 343's worst? The discussions here over the past week shed plenty light on that. Plenty of people think that E3 blew the chance they were giving 343i to impress. Namely, in a nutshell, things like: -The visual and audio style of CEA so far seems less effective to the original, and particularly in the visual business demonstrates disregard and possibly a lack of understanding of what worked about the aesthetics of the original game anyway. -Namedropping "John" in the Halo 4 trailer takes a massive symbolic dump on one of the most potent moments in the original trilogy, and further demonstrates that 343i doesn't actually have a very good understanding of what they're working with. -No Halo 1 online multiplayer in CEA. Keeping in mind of course that having this on console, and having it with good netcode on any platform, is something that many people have wanted for 10 years, and is also something that many community members consider better than what we have today. Whether these complaints, and others like them, are entirely fair or not can perhaps be called into question. But that expectations of 343i plummeted for many people isn't particularly surprising or confusing IMO.
