While you're completely correct about how this community has reacted, you're not considering that first part of your sentence. When Bungie released trailers, they usually were using the actual in-game engine in some form or another. 343 Industries is now in charge, and their trailer appears to have been unbelievably blunt, "action" filled, and rather unimpressive. Like I've said many times, it just didn't work as a marketing tool, and the only reason that I personally am excited about Halo 4 is because I get to see what happens next with Master Chief and Cortana. The trailer didn't provide me any of that, since Halo 3's Legendary ending already said "there's more on the way" regarding the two. : I'm rambling, but ultimately what I'm trying to say is that minds have become : quite closed since the yesteryears. I see more bickering on sides than : people trying to find some sort of middle ground. Yes they have, even about things Bungie has released and is going to release. But I'm reserving my 343 Industries judgment until they show me something from the game itself. Hopefully something that doesn't suck and does more to evoke emotion from me than whatever that release trailer was supposedly trying to do beyond saying "he's back!"
