In Response To: Re: I don't think I actually even interpreted... (BlueNinja) : As you said, they released a teaser. It teased. It's just that some of us : didn't exactly like what it was teasing. We're trying to make sense of it, : much like you are now, Wu. Can't see what's so confusing about that. :) Really? I read at least 50 posts from Narcogen this morning all utilizing a set of assumptions which really don't hold for me as givens - if those assumptions turn out to be wrong, his entire argument falls apart. If you make one post saying "I don't like what I see" - that's one thing. If you make 50 posts (well, more than that), you're definitely saying "not only don't I like what I see, but I refuse to accept that there are alternatives to my interpretation". It's that certainty that's surprising me. And while not everyone posts as much as Narc, it's EVERYBODY's certainty that's surprising me. I guess I've just never been willing to draw sweeping conclusions based on so little data. I can absolutely be thrown by things that don't come across as I expected them to - but I'm not willing to say "I will not like the final product" until I've SEEN the final product, and I'm not willing to be nearly as absolute as many of the posters here this week have been, given how little we know. You say you're trying to make sense of it just like I am - the difference is, I'm willing to say "I don't understand this" while you'd rather say "I don't like this". I'm not willing to dislike what I don't understand, JUST because I don't understand it. I guess that's where we really differ.
