In Response To: Re: You people are confusing me. (Louis Wu) : I read the thread that argued this, and the whole time I was shaking my head. Part of it might be the obvious comparison to the Bungie of old. Think Dust and Echoes here, and think the conversation between Gunns and Johnson in The Armory. By using that mind-blowingly smooth lampshade hanging, Bungie found a way to contradict the symbolic punctuation mark at the end of Halo 1 without stepping on it too painfully. You're probably right that it's too early to say anything for sure, at least with respect to Halo 4. Though, because of the context the teaser chose (seemingly in a similar situation as in the Legendary ending of Halo 3), there does seem to be room to interpret it as treading or not on holy ground, and perhaps implying something about Halo 4's creative process, even if it doesn't perfectly and accurately represent something in the finished product. Besides, this is a bungie.org forum. Even if these are gigantic and insane speculative leaps of logic, that's not that unusual here.
