To me, this seems like a bold, almost arrogant move on 343i's : part; "you like Bungie's Halo trilogy? Well, this ain't Bungie. This : is something different and we ain't afraid to shove it in your face!" Everyone must be freeze framing the trailer. To put it bluntly, other than the thrusters I didn't have the time to really make out any other details on the armour.
Aside from that, let's not forget that the entire texture of MC's armour changed between the Halo 3 reveal and later trailers.
