In Response To: but... (Hawaiian Pig) : This gets really tedious in big debates. Bind it to a macro or something. Yes, it's unnecessary verbiage-- at least I think so-- but since communication is a social exercise and it matters what people think, isn't it worth a little extra verbiage to shift people's focus on to what someone is trying to say, instead of taking offense at the way it was said? I suppose the whole world could just become a lot more reasonable and realize that everything everybody says is an individual opinion and not an assertion of fact, but I'm a bit skeptical. Or one could just learn to live with a light sprinkling of qualifiers. IMHO. ;-)
