: And here we have the first true test Nah, these kinds of issues were around even in Halo 2's day. There's always been a huge separation between the books and the games, with prominent characters from the books never showing up in the games even though you'd think they would. And iirc Halo:CE and Halo: The Flood contradicted each other many times.
