(Train Dodger) : Dramatization notwithstanding, Halo: Reach struck me as less of a pure : narrative work and more of a hybridized found footage/mockumentary-type : work. I think they were going for a sort of Blair Witch or : Cloverfield-like vibe with the first-person shakeycams, surveillance : footage and intentionally-vague plot. Take from that what you will. : The way I see it, the problem with this is that it represented a bit of an : unanticipated genre shift. People were thrown for a loop when they : expected Reach to have the same format as prior installments in the : series. Reach is truly the Citizen Kane of shooting aliens in the face.
