Just re-watched a recording of it I made earlier and another on youtube for a comparison. Its Carter that holds her in the final scene, which actually makes more sense. Its definitely 6 that goes down in the lift with Kat while the other 3 are in the other one. 6 doesn't just crouch down next to her, he actually catches her before she hits the ground, glances at the helmet and the wound and only when he realises she's dead does he reach for her pistol to return fire (substitute 'he' for 'she' depending on personal settings!) For the next scene Jun steps in first, and he's the one who lights the flare to attract the Pelican. 6 is on the left, Carter on the right holding Kat. Emile hangs behind the others on the left (can just barely see his Kukri on his right shoulder). It can be really hard to tell Emile and Carter apart in thise scene because of the lighting and the large shoulder armour they wear, but if you watch very carefully amongst the light and shadows, the massive Kukri is easiest giveaway.
