I agree 100% with what you said, ive tried saying this same thing to friends and quite frankly you articulated it so much better than I could. BUT then again, while I wish Reach had more cohesive events and didnt rely on contrived missions - the scenario's we were placed in were downright brilliant. I dont want to start posting spoilers but ive been fantasising about some of those moments for years. I guess the trade off was between a cohesive story and cool but fractured set peices. I also find it funny how no reviewer picked up on this stuff - it takes the real Halo fans to spot when somethings a bit amiss.
