I've certainly been more than critical of the : perception that the novels, and Mr. Nylund especially, is infallible. : Said a fair few times I'm not really a fan of his writing style in the Halo : novels he has done, they just didn't have the character development I : especially like in reading. : Though GoO was an improvement in that area. I'm not such a big fan of the books either. They are OK. I was shocked to find out that the Spartans were kidnapped as children. Many people here say that they like grey characters but, to me, child kidnap isn't a grey area, its pretty black. : The commentary does say that they were very careful regarding dates and the : existing canon, though whether or not that was another little cheeky : tongue-in-cheek moment, I don't know. Yes, I was scratching my head as well at that part.
