In Response To: On Bungie and the Value of the Player's Time (Cody Miller) There's a lot to digest here, so I cannot know what I think until I've been able to stew a bit. I will say this: my "fun" has been steadily decreasing in Halo since 1. My "feeling" is that this is due to my play time shifting from Campaign (H1, H2) to Multiplayer (H3, H4) over the series. I play MP more because I want to play the Campaign less, primarily because IMO the Campaigns have been less and less...deep? Interesting? This may or may not indicate a shift in priorities of Bungie to keep people playing in a specific way. I do not know. Sadly, I think XBox Live activity drivingthe game development was always inevitible. What rules in TV land? Ratings, ratings, ratings. With XBox Live activity stats freely available, business interests (AKA money) will begin to move things. Which sucks. In any case, well presented, and well written. I enjoyed the read.
