In Response To: Re: On Bungie and the Value of the Player's Time (Beckx) : That's bullshit, though. If you're grinding in WoW, instead of "having : fun," then you're Doing It Wrong. When WotLK came out I leveled to 80 : just doing quests, chirping constantly in guild chat. You can grind, and : some people proved that you could do things more efficiently by grinding : rather than questing, but then don't complain about the grinding. That's the thing. Less and less developers think that this is considered wrong, making grinding more and more common. : I'm oversimplifying a bit. A lot of WoW's quests are just ass, just real
There you go. Developers are getting lazy and making grinding missions instead of "real" missions. I mean, who can blame them? Someone is getting gazillions of players using only grinding (namely Farmville), while "real" missions that keeps the players engaged takes massive amounts of time and effort to produce.
