In Response To: Re: On Bungie and the Value of the Player's Time (Beckx) Perhaps I did not make it clear, but I was in fact trying to say that WoW does indeed rely on player skill, though not wholly on skill as Starcraft does. I fully realize that skillful manipulation of the interface to cast spells and being able to formulate attack plans are skill based activities in WoW. However, even the most skilled player cannot take down that super high mega level boss without leveling up and getting gear. Your success in Starcraft is determined solely by your skill. In WoW, it is skill+time+items. |
