In Response To: On Bungie and the Value of the Player's Time (Cody Miller) So I looked at the Dailies for today, and the Weekly as it is Monday, and saw nothing worth my time. I then spent the afternoon playing Dragon Age. I am annoyed that it seems to have forgotten that I downloaded Blood Dragon armor and the Stone Prisoner. Anyway, I agree. Seems that it's a problem with most of the multiplayer games today. CoD does this with its levels and Prestiges, Halo now has credits and armors. I remember playing through Majora's Mask, collecting all the masks so I could have the Fierce Deity's mask and wtfpwn Majora. I wouldn't have done that if the game wasn't fun. Hell, I did 100% items/scans in all of the Metroid Prime games because I liked reading the logs and stuff. In game rewards were more or less for the sake of doing it, and you did it because you enjoyed the game, not because there was a virtual carrot in front of your face.
