That's bullshit, though. If you're grinding in WoW, instead of "having fun," then you're Doing It Wrong. When WotLK came out I leveled to 80 just doing quests, chirping constantly in guild chat. You can grind, and some people proved that you could do things more efficiently by grinding rather than questing, but then don't complain about the grinding. I'm oversimplifying a bit. A lot of WoW's quests are just ass, just real illusions covering grinds. Like the "I require 10 buzzard heads" quests where only 1 in 20 buzzards drops a head (grrrrrrrr). They get the balance right. EverQuest? Yeah. That was grinding. The exploration kept me going, but the grinding always beat me down. The grinding and the exp loss on death. The grinding, the exp loss, and the corpse runs. The grinding, the exp loss, the corpse runs....I'll stop before I break into tears.
