In Response To: Re: On Bungie and the Value of the Player's Time (Beckx) : I'm still reacting to the original post and the inference that WoW players : are all dupes getting deceived by a system. You should read more carefully. I said that WoW does this more than other games, but also explicitly stated that there are valuable aspects to WoW, namely the social aspect and the requirement that you understand the game well enough to know what spells work well against what, etc. WoW players are being manipulated more than Street Fighter players, but less than Farmville players for example.
