In Response To: On Bungie and the Value of the Player's Time (Cody Miller) Phew. Done reading. Although I had already read about it a couple of times, I still found your text engaging enough to sit through. Congrats. :) Now, on topic: I almost completely agree with you. People are clearly being manipulated into submission. Heck, I can't even spend a few minutes on the internet without checking out my Mafia Wars thingy... (In my defense, I don't have Gold... :(. ) Your example using SC and WoW was basically the essence of it. We are getting addicted to vanity, favoring it over fun. I guess it's becoming a huge problem to our generation. It's really starting to show in society itself, not only online. Though my faith in humanity clings by a hair's breadth, I shall not fall. HBOers, unite and bring forth the age of salvation! Pretty, pretty please?
