In Response To: Re: Something else I don't like about "Halo 2.0" (Anton1792) : I would have thought that many of them would have been a bit more forgiving : and supportive of Thel given that he helped to end Truth and stop the : Array's activation. For the record, Thel has plenty of supporters too. It's a bit extreme to say everyone is against him. One of the interpretations that can be taken from The Thursday War is that the Sangheili are more like Humans than they realise. The majority seem quite prepared to adopt a straight forward 'wait and see' approach by sitting out the civil war, ultimately being prepared to support the winning side.
Still, I would like to see more of this kind of thing going on.
Though one of the worst details to come out of that story was the orders from the Allied commanders that the USAAF pilot could not tell the full story to the other members of his unit, in case it took the outrageous step of humanising German pilots. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
