In Response To: Re: Something else I don't like about "Halo 2.0" (SonGoharotto) : They got together and disappeared and nothing more is known. Maybe they'll : return as servants to the Didact. *shrug* Keep in mind that they were on the verge of extinction. High Charity was their new "homeworld" after the star in their system went supernova. Those that weren't on High Charity were serving on military ships and Covenant controlled planets. Since High Charity fell to the Flood, and any Prophets on Elite ships were killed, it's unlikely that the small remaining number of Prophets on Brute ships actually could have survived. And if they did, their population would seem too small for their species to survive. The only way Prophets would ever come to be a threat again in any large capacity is if they somehow found another faction of San'Shyuum who took after the Reformists and fled their planet before the star went nova, forming an alliance with them and coming back in force. That actually would have been/still could be a cool way to introduce a newly formed Covenant, more powerful even than the first. We could go from Covenant, to the smaller and weaker Storm Covenant, and then back to a full military force, led by the reunified Prophets. I dunno, I've always wanted to see this story explored more.
