ST:TNG was amazing for that sort thing, for instance; with history references, Shakespeare, philosophy, exploration of morality, all that... not just inter-character drama. 343 needs to keep the stories they tell intelligent and thought-provoking. Please! : The Precursors' judgments are certainly still old testament in nature. Does : the Prime Directive really fit with that? (If Mantle == Prime Directive) In another comment I mention the PD was less a practical similarity to the Mantle, and more cultural, political, moral, etc... : Is the Didact comfortable that the Storm worship him as a God? Does he just : go along with it or does he like it? I'm betting he doesn't care all that much, as the Covenant species seemed far less important when the FR were around in force... *shrug*
