In Response To: Re: Something else I don't like about "Halo 2.0" (SonGoharotto) : The internal struggle among the Sangheili is about the only thing I find : interesting and well-handled about the Traviss novels. Unfortunately, it : takes a back burner to (what I consider) Kilo Five's politically foolish : antics. They're trying to play all sides against each other and it could : go pear-shaped very easily. : Imagine if it got out that ONI operatives were kicking the hornet's nest so
: I would have approached it from the other side, trying to make peace work
So a story about the UNSC/ONI striving for peace but the Sangheili ultimately spitting such an offer back at them due to their inability to change and abandon their thousands of years of religious hegemony? : You lost me there. I digressed. It doesn't matter though. It's not that important to the discussion anyway, nor relevant to the newer canon.
