In Response To: Re: reviews like this are killing the community (no7orious) : Bla bla bla. Hype has nothing to do with it. Games like Halo, Myth, Bolo,
Just like a poorly aimed rocket, my point went over your head. Of course Halo is all about gameplay, but when the gameply get HYPED out of control like Halo 2 was, then you can't live up to it. Expectations were too high. Halo 2 is a great game, but it's obviously leading up to something bigger. But when was the last time that a game EVER lived up to hysterical hype? NEVER. Not because the games are bad, but b/c your expectations of the gameplay were miles above what could be delivered on. I had my disappointments for sure. I wanted online co-op. I wanted a longer campaign. But the game, as it stands, is still one of the best console games out there, IMNSHO. I've LOVED playing Halo 2. Halo 1 is still awesome, and I've got a co-op game to finish on that too. But I'll be playing Halo 2 for a long time. Okay, that was quite the rambling rant, but the point is: Halo 2 is very good. |
