In Response To: Mothergoat's Second Opinion of Halo 2 (mothergoat) : “You could fit all of Halo 1 into a canyon of Halo2.” -Bungie : Huh? That definitely doesn’t apply to the length of time is takes from : beginning to end. Playing Halo 1 on Normal is still much longer than Halo : 2 on Heroic. Halo 2 is short. What's that all about, have you even played halo 1? Or maybe you are confused. I don't know how you played halo 1, but it should be very very slow, or you completed halo 2 very fast.(that's not even possible) Don't know about you, but for me it doesn't take more than an hour to finish halo 1, not even on legendary. Halo 2, Takes about 7 hours to complete, and that's on easy. On legendary it would take more than a day of hard work. (unless you're really good.. but even then it takes FAR more time to complete than halo 1) Halo 2 DOES take more time to complete than halo 1. Even so, I do think I know what you're talking about. The first game goes from level to level to level, and all have their differences. But in Halo 2 most levels just continue where to other had left of, so you don't have the feeling of completement. Another reason for this is the story. Halo 1 had some twists and you really felt like you moved on in the story. But with Halo 2 it seems like you are just waiting, doing nothing important to the story. The ending of Halo 2 could just as well have been the beginning. You don't really notice any difference. So in that way, you're right. Sorry for the bitching about 'completing the game' time, it's just that it doesn't seem right to me. The rest of your review is fine, except this part: :I remember Blood Gulch (Halo 1). I saw an enemy warthog incoming. I threw an :accurately placed grenade to detonate on the backside of the moving hog. The :hog would gloriously fly with correct trajectory, killing some or all of the :passengers while a great deal of rewarding satisfaction came over me as the :wonderful explosion animation full of dirt and grass subsided. In Halo 2, the :hog keeps on going, not flinching. In fact, place a grenade by any non-moving :vehicle. It hardly moves. So you're saying hogs flew better in Halo 1, Ok I can understand that. :Couldn’t tame the ATV? I don’t buy it. It :flipped too much? So does the new ‘hog. But if that's so, What's this all about? It seems like you're going against yourself.. maybe you didn't mean it that way. Care to comment? Other than that, nice review. Keep up the good work. ;)
