Yeah, it's all good. Hope I wasn't too antagonistic. :) To be fair, I really liked the continuity of the new single player game. There was never a time where I felt like, "Ok, I'm at a good stopping point, I'll turn it off and go eat dinner." I didn't really mind the graphical pop-in for the cutscenes since there was no loading times. As for the cliffhanger ending, I still disagree. "Empire Strikes Back" had something of a cliffhanger ending. The Empire was still on the rise, Han Solo was frozen, Luke's Jedi training wasn't finished, etc. But Halo 2 felt like it didn't even wind to a close, where you could kind of sense that the game was nearing it's end, even though it left a lot of questions. To me, it just felt like they were making the campaign right up until they ran out of time, and then started rolling the credits wherever it was that they stopped. But whatever. That's not that big of a deal. For a video game, it's not where you end up that makes it fun, but the journey of getting there. And Halo 2's single player game was a decent amount of fun. I was entertained. But don't even get me started on the multiplayer... :( I personally find HaloPC more fun, even with the massive amounts of lag. :( |
