In Response To: Has to be nit-picked.... *sp* *long* (gspawn) "Remember the Gondola ride? the vehicle-heavy areas around the later Arbiter levels?" The Gondola's. The one-way tickets into unknown relms of unexploribility. In Halo 1, the only thing like this was the Library elevators. That was it. All the AotCR/343GS elevators could be used to go BACK a level. The Gondola's put you across a pit with an insta-kill barrier at the bottom (yeah, not even FrogBlast can get down these) with no way to go back and explore. Halo 2 is too linear to have the feel of Halo 1, which let you go wherever you wanted.; further into or further back into a level. That's what made it different for me, at least. |
