Thank you for correcting yourself, because you are right in that you can't deny that someone has to write all those branches and account for player choice. They certainly had to write that story, but because of the burdens that having the player pick the path put on you, the resulting story is not going to be anywhere near the calibre of a traditional one, for reasons I described, but were not refuted and consequently ignored by everyone here.
