In Response To: Re: This will throw you through the wall (Cody Miller) : It's not lumped in. It makes her pregnancy miraculous, furthering analogy to : the virgin Mary. sure, but by 'lumped in' i meant that in one scene, which i felt was out of place, she suddenly becomes the over-dramatic baby-crazy female archetype and goes HYSTERICAL on her husband for making an offhanded comment about children. The scene felt awkward and out of character, that's why I think it felt 'lumped in'. Almost like sir ridley said, "Ok we need a quick way to let the audience know she has a broken uterus, let's just get this over with". Also I like the idea that her squid monster baby is Jesus. It died, and then came back to life later on, saving Shaw from 'original sin', or a very loose interpretation thereof. Hell, if i wanted to keep overextending this metaphor I could.
