Did you read my posts?! Event A happens, and this affects the main character in a certain way. Choice 1 comes up for the main character. Because of A, he chooses the way he chooses. He HAS to, because he was influenced by event A. If you let the player choose, then the emotional impact of event A is COMPLETELY LOST WITH REGARD TO DRAMATIC STORYTELLING. That's why every one of those choose your own adventures are shitty.
