So you're basically telling any storyteller that they are NOT a storyteller, or at least that they suck at it, if they create a 'story' that is flexible and non-linear, even though they create multiple paths, EACH telling a story the storyteller wants to tell, but allowing the reader/player to choose their own path. Your definition of story (how many times have I started a sentence like that so far?) now seems to be inherently, exclusively and explicitly linear, with zero flexibility, zero interactivity, zero dynamic content. A storyteller must progress through a single narrative that begins at A and ends at B. Your points are confusing and seemingly contradictory, at least insofar as explaining your viewpoint consistently, apart from explaining your opinion.
I just don't know what you're ultimately trying to state, except that you don't like video games that tell stories. And I doubt even that's accurate.
