Now all we need is a series based : around the River Ghosts. :) The River Ghosts reference is lost on me. :/ : (Might have to make mala'kak and Engineers two different species considering : that the film retconned a bunch of EU lore, but if we go by the two : species theory, then it can possibly stay intact.) Halo is one of the few universes that actively tries to avoid retconning EU stuff. Most other universe creators don't really care about that stuff. : -The beginning is a bit head scratching. We see grass at the start, so life's : already taken hold. And why couldn't the humanoid mix in his DNA with the : goop instead of having to ingest it? It's really just eye candy. I believe the point was that it was just the start of HUMAN life. And, going off of the theory linked above (which I read after posting my thoughts), the sacrifice of that individual was very important. : -Xenomorphs take on the characteristics of their host creature, but I don't : think malevolance plays a role. I was mostly just hinting that their ability to take on the characteristics of their hosts probably stems from this life-fluid. Maybe a watered-down offshoot of the more drastic effects we see in this movie.
